The Aeperion Shimo-Quartz takes the Quartz philosophy into glass, pairing an ultra-fast glide with a micro-etched frost surface. Pronounced, ultra-high textural feedback keeps each movement feeling grounded despite the extreme speed, while a medium push-down effect adds control under pressure. Every Shimo-Quartz includes three purpose-built skate sets, letting you tune the balance between speed, stopping power, durability, and noise without changing the pad itself. Aeperion calls it “Glide Profile: User Defined.”

Limited to 1,000 individually serialized units worldwide, Shimo-Quartz arrives in an industry-first custom-designed foam carrying case, giving its distinctive approach to performance an equally considered presentation.

Micro-Etched Frost Surface

Shimo-Quartz uses 1.5mm chemically strengthened glass with a micro-etched frost texture across the entire plate, designed to maintain a consistent glide from the center of the pad to its edges.

Over the etched surface sits Aeperion's Crystal Veil layer, an anti-fingerprint treatment designed to resist dust and oil buildup while preserving the underlying texture.

Three Glide Profiles

Every Shimo-Quartz includes all three Shimo skate sets, so there's nothing to choose at checkout.

Shimo White is the fastest option, prioritizing speed and quick flicks.

Shimo Silver provides a more balanced glide with greater stopping power and the lowest noise rating of the three.

Shimo Black delivers the strongest stopping power and highest durability rating, designed for players who want a more planted feel.

Custom Silicone Base

Beneath the glass is a 0.6mm custom molded silicone base designed to keep the pad firmly planted during use. Combined with the 1.5mm glass plate, Shimo-Quartz measures just 2.1mm total, maintaining a low profile despite its rigid construction.
